Mom's Trying to Kill Us with her Extra Spicy & Somewhat Sassy Chimichurri Sauce

My mom has a rather ferocious love affair with garlic. In fact there wasn't a single dinner from my childhood that didn't include garlic in it. If you like garlic then I dare you to try her chimichurri recipe. I promise it will keep the vampires away.

Ingredients
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 bulb of garlic (one entire bulb, not just one clove)
  • 4 stalks of green onion
  • Olive oil to coat
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Juice from 1 lemon or lime
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste
Directions

Peel your garlic and mince.

Chop up your cilantro and green onions. Add your garlic, seasonings, olive oil, and lemon or lime juice and mix well.

Let sit for a couple of hours so all the flavors mix and intensify.

Serve over food or eat as is. Ok maybe not the "as is" part but definitely use it on top of your favorite dish for that extra spicy garlicky punch. Enjoy!
