Tangy & Sweet Sugar-Free Lemonade

I love lemonade but I don't love all the sugar that's added to store bought lemonade, and I definitely don't like when it's sweetened with artificial sweeteners. Yuck.

In this recipe I used powdered stevia. Stevia is an herb 150 times sweeter than regular cane sugar but doesn't raise your glucose levels so it's fairly safe for diabetics and other people watching their sugar intake.

I love this version of my homemade chia bar. You seriously can't go wrong when you combine chocolate, cherries, chia seeds and vanilla. These are really easy to make and convenient to travel with. You can take them when you're out and about and need a quick snack, or take a batch with you to work and store in the fridge. No need to be tempted by office donuts. Now you have your own super duper delicious and HEALTHY snack. Oh and the kids love them too!

How to Make Your Own Healthy Almond Butter for Better Digestion

Almond butter is a staple in my home. I think it's good on just about anything. I use it as a dip for fruit and veggies, add it to smoothies for an extra protein and fat boost, use it for raw treats as well as baked goods. Then one day I thought to myself, this stuff is so dang expensive, why don't I just make my own almond butter? If I make it myself I know it's super fresh and has no extra oils or preservatives. Plus I could make it way WAY healthier by soaking the almonds first.

Grain-Free Ramen for People who Like to Eat Ramen

Kelp noodles are a great substitute for ramen noodles if you are avoiding grains. They are made out of kelp and sodium alginate, which is derived from the cell walls of brown seaweed. They hold their shape and texture well and don't break down into mush. They have a mild taste and the longer they sit in the soup, the more flavorful they become.

Not to toot my horn but this has got to be the best grain-free, dairy-free and egg-free banana bread recipe I’ve ever come up with. I wanted to make an egg-free recipe because many people have allergies or intolerances to eggs or are following a special diet that excludes them. If this is not you then feel free to use eggs as they are one of the healthiest foods on the planet for those who can tolerate them.
